Some other free tunic blueprint for those of you lot who want to sew up some longer shirts to wear with leggings!
In case you missed information technology, concluding week I told you all near the great struggle I had with LulaRoe leggings (recap: I like them, only they're too pricey and I don't want to shop from FB lives, I just desire to click and order from a website). Since I've found a just-as-buttery-soft and less-than-half-the-price substitute (Viv Collection leggings from Amazon), I'm now wearing leggings as often every bit I can justify. Thank the heavens above for elastic waist pants.
Goodness. I AM OLD.
Anyhow, back to the point, if my one-time lady brain tin can find it. Leggings require longer shirts, at least for my bod, and so I've been sewing upwardly some tunics lately. Concluding week I shared a free design for a swingy tunic (kinda like the LulaRoe perfect tee). And today I'g showing you how to hack my piece of cake Breezy Tee blueprint and turn it into a Breezy Tunic.
How to make a long shirt (tunic) to wear with leggings
To make a Informal tunic y'all will need my Breezy Tee pattern (in size large only, well-nigh a 38 inch bosom just it's a relaxed fit then would work for a bit larger as well). You can get the free pattern in this post. You'll as well notice instructions for how to sew it up there as well.
To make the longer version, yous will need just over 1 yard of 56-60 inch wide knit (stretchy) fabric. Launder and dry your fabric before cutting into it.

To brand a longer version, I cutting out the back piece starting time, adding 7 inches to the curved hemline. And so I cut out the front slice, adding 3.five inches at the fold line, so curving downwards to make information technology the aforementioned length at the side seam every bit the back piece. In the photo below the dorsum piece is on the left (folded), the front piece is in the center (folded) and the blueprint is on the right.
You'll also cut arm cuffs and a neckbinding slice as directed in the Breezy Tee mail, and and then y'all'll stitch it up following those directions likewise.
One more than new, easy to wearable tunic to go with my new favorite leggings!
Tip: If you are planning to wear this shirt with Lula leggings or the similar leggings I found on Amazon, yous'll want to choose a material that is a scrap slippery, otherwise it may not curtain nicely across the brushed fabric of the leggings.
